What would you have done differently?
I don't expect we're getting much traffic here but want to throw the question out there anyway. What little feature would have made all the difference in your home?
Priscilla shared a great idea with us - to have outlets installed in the bathroom cabinets so that you can charge your toothbrush or electric razor without putting it out on the counter. I think we'll also install an outlet in our pantry.
My dad wishes the breaker box was inside his house instead of outside (sounds like we can do a combo).
A mirror defogger would be kinda neat for the bathrooms and seems relatively inexpensive. sumu.ca

Catch Up
We broke ground on the construction of our new home last week!
Quick recap: The property, which we purchased in Oct 2005, had a house on it that we attempted to renovate. After uncovering numerous problems, we decided to demo the house and start over. I'll post some older pictures as soon as I figure out the best way to do so and order them sequentially if I can. The Demolition, Builder selection, and Architectural phases that followed also took more time than we expected but the transformation of the property as it is today is pretty amazing.
A Craigslist Scavenged House Just Before Demo
This is the house that was originally on the property on the day of demo. We met somebody on Craigslist who got a lot of great materials from the house before it was knocked down.
