The framers have begun work on the exterior siding. For a cleaner look, we are using dark bronze colored aluminum reglets for the corners instead of the furring strips they typically use.
A nice little architectural detail that Michael and I came up with for the interior master bedroom window. Instead of a tall window starting from the floor on one side of the wall, we decided to start higher for privacy concerns and continue past the corner using butted glass, following the line of the other windows in the living room.
These cmu blocks will be providing the support for walkway between the carport and the front door. The tall windows in the stairwell are also ready to be installed.
This is a 12 foot wide sliding door from Jeldwen. My favorite feature is that the panels all stack cleanly on one side instead of having just the middle panels open. The doors open out from the dining room to the covered porch outside.
