Sunny side up

View of the south-facing walls. Those trees give some much needed cover later in the afternoon but the third floor will need some decent solar shades as it is above the tree line. The large square metal post leaning against the wall will be providing support for the third level deck off the master bedroom.

Northwest Wall

Here is a view of the northwest wall showing the future location of the front entry door (middle floor left) as well as the stairwell (empty space on right side). The openings for the master bath windows are also visible (top floor left).

Too Close for Comfort

The north side of the house came in a little too close to the tree so we had to make some modifications to the original design. The covered porch has been cut short instead of connecting with the covered entryway along the northwest wall.

I Was Framed!

We met with our GC, the Framer, and Gerkin last Friday to take care of final decisions on windows and doors. Raymond and I decided to drop by today after work since we knew the framers had started this morning. This is the result so far. It's going to be an adventure to watch all of our ideas materialize. In 2 weeks we'll be able to walk up to the 3rd level.
