Common Room Windows

View from the downstairs common room windows on a nice day.

Landing View (Part 2)

Same location as before but looking out the window.

Landing View (Part 1)

Since the stairs are not yet installed and we've been really curious to see what the 3rd floor looks like, I went ahead and walked up the stairwell plank to take some pictures. I'm a big wuss when it comes to heights and I didn't want to have to call the firemen to get me back down so I could only get to the landing between the second and third floor.

This is a peek into the master bedroom from the landing.

White Oak Flooring

Detail of the 5-inch white oak flooring that we are installing in the second and third floor. Thinking of going with a light neutral stain for these.

Life's Good

Here's our washer and dryer sitting in the laundry room after that herculean effort by Mr. Man.

Can't wait to get these installed and start washing and drying stuff (or whatever you use these things for, I don't know).

I Am All That Is Man

How do you move a 200 lb washer down a tricky slope with loose rocks when the dolly doesn't work? If you're a 5 foot 6 guy who weighs less than 150 lbs, you just load it on your back and carry it down apparently.

He also did this for the dryer.

Downspout Installed

I guess water goes in one hole and out the other.

Stucco Has Started

Initial coat of stucco applied to the exterior.

Scaffolding is up for the exterior stucco.

Smooth

Champion Drywall just completed applying their smooth finish to the drywall today and the results are amazing. These pictures do not do their work justice.

While looking at the pics below, keep in mind this is just drywall that's been floated smooth and no paint applied. Rare cameo by Nicole also included.

Drain Hole

If you look closely at the CMU wall, you can see the new drain hole that they punched through for the downspout.

Drywall (2nd Floor)

The drywall guys have started floating and taping. Need to figure out what to do with those blank walls.
